We love going to Monterrey when we want Mexican food. We absolutely love the food and the staff are amazing! We remember their names and they remember us. We’re building a house in Indianola but we still plan to come up here from time to time for the wonderful food to see the staff of course!

We go here often and every experience is wonderful. The staff are friendly. The food is terrific. And the service is fast. What we appreciate most is how family friendly it is! They genuinely seem to enjoy our kids which makes us so much more comfortable when going out. It's our go-to restaurant!

Absolutely love this place for Americanized Mexican cuisine. The chips & salsa and margaritas are a staple for us. I love coming back here when I visit Des Moines. It’s proven hard to find anything similar to El Monterrey in the several other places we’ve moved since living in Des Moines! Service is quick and efficient. Can’t go wrong here.
